Multispeed Wheels

The primitive profile of the driver is derived from a contour corresponding to motion law and defines the driven conjugate profile with the same length.

As a generating function of the primitive contour of the driving wheel, a cam profile created using all available kinematic laws of CMM2000 program can be used.

Use Browse button to import CAD file containing the sequence of points that describes the motion law. High precision of coordinates values is recommended.

The primitive contour must be closes and the polar angle of points sequence must be between 0° to 360°.

It is also appropriate for the first point of the primitive profile to lie on a dwell circle for obvious reasons of calculation.

You can get the primitive contour with a global transmission ratio other than the standard one that is equal to 1: 1.
To achieve this, the primitive profile of the driving wheel must be the exact repetition of an entire operational cycle, as defined by the overall transmission ratio desired.

Using Check values button, the correct Module is calculated and tooth fillet radius are suggested.

From version 5 it is possible to tilt the teeth with different options to allow for better coupling and less sliding.

Clicking OK button the program generates the profiles: 3D models are displayed and many commands for output and export are now available.
